PennEngineering is seeking a motivated, excited, individual to be a part of the Global Commercial Team. As the Director, Commercial Technology at PennEngineering, you’ll collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Commercial Technology Leader to oversee and advance our eCommerce and CRM capabilities. This pivotal role will lead the strategic development, implementation, and management of our eCommerce platforms and Salesforce-based CRM tools. By combining project management expertise, process leadership, and external engagement, you will play a key role in enhancing customer experiences and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of designing scalable solutions, implementing best practices, and engaging with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business growth.

What You Will Do

  • CRM Strategy and Management:
    • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of CRM solutions based on Salesforce to support customer relationship strategies. Work closely with global commercial teams to align around consistent best practices.
    • Oversee CRM customization, ensuring it meets business requirements and integrates seamlessly with other enterprise systems.
    • Train and support cross-functional teams to maximize CRM tool adoption and effectiveness.
    • Develop robust reporting pipelines to standardize sales and marketing pipeline visibility for stakeholders at all levels.
  • eCommerce Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for the organization’s eCommerce platforms to align with business goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and technology teams to optimize customer engagement and conversion rates.
  • Drive continuous improvements in functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency across digital sales channels.
  • Project Management:
    • Collaborate with the businesses and IT to manage end-to-end eCommerce and CRM projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
    • Use agile methodologies to prioritize tasks, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
    • Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring the quality of deliverables.
  • Process Leadership:
    • Establish and refine processes to enhance the efficiency of eCommerce operations and CRM workflows.
    • Create documentation and best practices for platform usage, data governance, and process optimization.
    • Monitor and report on KPIs to measure the success of eCommerce and CRM initiatives.
  • External Engagement and Vendor Management:
    • In collaboration with IT, engage with external vendors and partners to ensure the successful delivery of technology solutions.
    • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and Salesforce advancements to recommend innovative solutions.
    • Manage vendor contracts, budgets, and performance metrics.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership:
    • Work closely with internal teams, including IT, marketing, sales, and operations, to align technology initiatives with business priorities.
    • Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
    • Champion a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge-sharing across teams.

Requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Extensive experience in global leadership roles, preferably within industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience in multiple industrial end markets strongly preferred (general industrial, automotive, aerospace, electronics, datacom/telecom, etc.).
  • 15 years of experience in commercial / technology leadership roles, with a focus on CRM / Salesforce platforms.
  • Deep expertise in Salesforce CRM tools, including configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale commercial technology projects, preferably in a global environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in agile methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data-driven approaches to inform decision-making
