Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Receives assignments from shift supervisor prior to each shift and accomplishes tasks in accordance with all documented procedures and instructions.
- Evaluates machine performance and conditions periodically and refers all unusual or unsafe conditions to supervisor. Items to be evaluated include obvious part defects, incorrect number of parts being produced, machine damage or malfunction, etc.
- Responds to machine alarms and resets machines for normal operation. Advises supervisor of extraordinary conditions as required.
- Sorts, counts, and packs parts. Ensures that only acceptable finished parts are sent to the warehouse.
- Submits all production reporting forms to shift supervisor or designee as required.
- Ensures raw material supply is sufficient to maintain production as scheduled.
- abels all parts storage containers with appropriate identification ticket/label.
- Keeps entire assigned work area clean and orderly at all times.
- Works to continuously improve skills and capabilities in operations. Effectively and actively participates in group problem solving and improvement activities.
- Follows all departmental procedures to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Adequately performs inspections with common measuring instruments and test equipment.
- May be required to work overtime as business conditions dictate.
- Performs other duties as required.
