High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and general understanding of concept of inspection.
Computer Skills
Must have a general understanding of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings and schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to correctly perform basic shop math, simple trigonometry and Statistical Process Control calculations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to identify and solve practical problems dealing with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Essential Duties And Responsibilites
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine level of product quality.
- Selects products for inspections at specified stages in production process, and inspects products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics.
- Inspects products received from suppliers for correct part, quantity and dimensions.
- Records inspection data, and may apply statistical quality control procedures.
- Performs product verification measuring product characteristics against established standards and criteria.
- Works to continuously improve skills and capabilities and effectively and actively participates in group problem solving and improvement activities.
- Other duties may be assigned.
