Job Summary: Utility driver for PEP department
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operates industrial powered truck or electric hoist to assist in the loading/unloading of materials and products.
- Determines the amount of packing materials and supplies required for operations based on production schedule, and assures materials are available .
- Coordinates the Finishing/Cutback saw activity per the production schedule
- Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to determine which materials (skids, racks, bundles) need to be moved.
- Checks Epics to confirm quality testing is completed and passed before lining up materials to cells or saws .
- Establishes first in first out of materials from storage to work sites.
- Ques material by lot number from shipping departments to saws/work cells.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units or materials moved/handled on daily production sheets.
- Attaches identifying material tags or labels and marks information on containers.
- Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands them together.
- Returns empty racks to shipping areas.
- Supply slat carts to each saw and takes to presses when full.
- Works with scheduler to adjust for changes in the schedule.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Education
- High school Diploma or GED
- Forklift certification preferred
