Our Company
Pennichuck Corporation is engaged primarily in the collection, storage, treatment, distribution and sale of potable water in southern and central New Hampshire. We have two business segments: regulated water utility operations and non-regulated water management services. Our Distribution center is located in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
Summer Internship Seeking Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering Students
In this position you will gain field experience assisting and supporting our Engineering/GIS staff in a variety of tasks in support of the departmental mission.
During your coop experience you will:
- Collect field data using GPS techniques.
- Assist Engineering with the responsibility of keeping the GIS infrastructure and geospatial information as accurate and up to date as possible.
- Complete engineering analysis and calculations.
- Conduct utility surveys using GPS techniques within southern and mid New Hampshire.
- Participate in source water monitoring activities including well monitoring, water sampling, and
- Assist Construction Project Managers and Inspectors to monitor and document construction of water main installation and facility improvements
Your qualifications should include:
- Current enrollment in a four-year college degree program in environmental science, civil engineering or environmental engineering
- Exposure to surveying, GIS, engineering, planning, environmental science and/or interest in the water industry desired
- Experience with AutoCad and ESRI GIS software products such as ArcMap and ArcCatalog is a plus
- Possession of a state drivers license in good standing
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and perform assign duties accurately
