JSC Correctional Officers supervise day-to-day activities of juvenile detainees and assist with programming while ensuring safety and security. Correctional Officer Physical Ability Test: The PCSO COPAT is an obstacle course that is a logical and rational mechanism designed to simulate the readiness of mobility and endurance which may be required during a regular post assignment or emergency response.
Age: Successful candidates must be 20 years of age
Education: HS Diploma or GED required
Experience: None required
License / Certification: SD Driver's License (within 90 days of moving to SD)
Criminal History : No felony conviction, no misdemeanor convictions in the last 3 years
No federally illegal drug use within 1 year.
