Pennington & Red Lake County Public Health has a full time (32 hours/week) opening for a Health Educator focusing on Substance Use Prevention serving the 5-county area of Red Lake, Pennington, Marshall, Kittson and Roseau Counties. Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, mental health, substance abuse or related field is required. The position is focused on substance use prevention and health promotion. The individual in this role will develop and implement educational programs aimed at preventing substance use among youth and adults, focusing on evidence-based practices to reduce substance misuse, increase awareness, and foster a healthier community.
The workday is typically M-F 8-4:30 with flexibility. Applicants must possess a current valid Minnesota driver’s license; excellent written and verbal skills; and the ability to work independently. Starting wage: $32.76 -$33.93 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
