What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Coordination Project Manager position at Pennino Management Group?
Assists Principals/PM's with delivery of multiple projects for Public and Private sector clients. The general scope of services includes the coordination of dry utilities which typically includes electric, natural gas, and fiber for developments. This position as Project Manager will work with our client’s Design Team, Local Utilities, and Construction Teams to ensure delivery and installation of dry utilities.
Duties:
Manage the delivery of dry utilities from design of dry utilities all the way to the installation of the electric and gas meters and/or fiber connections. Project Manager will be required to be a team member working with the Design Team which typically includes Project Owner, Architect, Civil, and Electrical & Plumbing Engineers to design the dry utilities. Project Manager will be required to develop an overall budget/cost estimate for the installation of dry utilities, including the possibility of bidding the work for the Project Owners. Working with the responsible utilities the Project Manager will make sure the jobs are engineered and contracts are completed in a timely manner. Finally, the Project Manager will work with the Contractor and Sub-Contractors to make sure the dry utilities are installed for the design and ultimately get the meters set and energized.
Provides all necessary coordination and follow-up on the work to ensure quality standards are met, efficiency levels are maintained, and client satisfaction, respect and confidence are assured. On-site construction oversight and inspections of underground utilities as requested by PMG Management.
Qualifications
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with skills to manage multi-disciplined engineering projects.
- Applicant should have technical knowledge with proven experience in working with dry utility designs, utility specifications, and/or construction management of utility projects.
- Must have a thorough understanding of practices and procedures in private development, public works, and institutional facilities.
- Prior underground utility construction experience is a plus, but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to interact in a cooperative and effective manner with clients and regulatory agencies and the ability to manage multiple/simultaneous projects.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate the work of consultants
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to work independently.
- This position requires knowledge in computer software utilized in the project management industry, Word, Excel/PowerPoint required, Bluebeam Revu. Some CAD background is a plus, but not required.
Salary : $75,000 - $145,000
