Job Responsibilities
Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to work in our Construction Engineering team while based at our office in King of Prussia, PA office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working in the field at building construction sites as a Quality Assurance representative; this involves observing, documenting and reporting on the construction work and performing construction materials testing.
- Inspecting construction and materials compliance with the drawings and specifications.
- Materials include reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, spray applied proofing, soils, earth work, and foundations.
- Field testing of plastic concrete, grout, mortar, block, fireproofing, soils. non-destructive testing of welds, and high strength bolting installation.
- Communicate and coordinate with the engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Work construction hours (which may include overtime).
- Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
- BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study.
- Recent or upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Reliable transportation
- FE / EIT in NJ is a plus.
- NJ DCA Special Inspector certification (e.g.: Structural Steel, Masonry, Concrete, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience working on construction projects is a plus!
- Ability to read drawings and specifications, write reports, create sketches, and communicate technical details.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
