What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weight Room Supervisor position at Penns Grove High School?
Weight Room Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Supervise weight room during assigned hours.
- Enforce ALL school district policies and rules.
- Maintain, check, and clean the weight room facility and equipment.
- ALL weights should be removed from the floor and bars when not in use.
- Clean Equipment as scheduled
- Return out of place equipment to proper locations as needed.
- Report any equipment problems to supervisor immediately
- Anticipate potential risks of injury, take measures to remove them.
- In the event of injury,
- Immediately report all injuries to Athletic Trainer and Athletic Director
- Contact emergency services or 911 and parents
- Be alert while students, faculty, and staff are exercising.
- Make sure proper lifting techniques are being utilized
- Use Clips on Bars
- Provide a spot for those working out or have a qualified staff assisting
- Answer questions related to fitness and exercise within the scope of the employee’s knowledge.
- Correct and report any inappropriate behavior or use of equipment by students or staff members. Consult with Athletic Director where needed for severe infractions.
- Communicate and collaborate with athletic coaches to ensure exercise and weight lifting programs support athletic program goals and student success.
- Perform all other appropriate duties as required by the Athletic Director and/or Principal.
