What are the responsibilities and job description for the Back Of House Team Member position at Penns Woods Winery?
This position entails various BOH responsibilities in a fast paced, high energy, team-oriented environment. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, can multi-task, follow instructions with attention to detail and, most importantly, is punctual and reliable.
This position entails, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- Greeting customers and seating them at their designated table.
- Organizing table assignments for reservations.
- Set up for daily operations, wine tastings, and events.
- Clearing, cleaning and sanitizing tables.
- Prepping wine and food pairings.
- Washing dishes and glasses.
- Sweeping, mopping, and restocking.
- Misc. housekeeping maintenance such as laundry, cleaning restrooms, etc.
- Outdoor operations (April - October) including parking setup, moving outdoor tables and chairs, putting out umbrellas, trash removal, etc.
Qualifications:
- Written/verbal communication skills. Must be able to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift/carry 50 lbs.
- Reliable form of transportation.
- Must be accountable, a team player and maintain a positive disposition.
- Must be able to work weekends and some holidays
- Must be over the age of 16 years old.
This position requires a minimum of 4 weekend days a month as well as weekdays as needed. We look forward to hearing from you!
