Job Description : No nights.
No weekends.
No on-call.
No major holidays.
Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Patient Care 80%
- Performs duties for two imaging modalities. (NM and PET) (CT if certified)
- Responsible for educating and preparing patients for examinations.
- Provide patient care that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures.
- Take thorough patient medical history prior to examination.
- Position patient to obtain proper imaging.
- Determine appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
- Interpret imaging orders provided by the physician.
- Measure doses so that the radionuclide is correct and matches the procedure.
- Administer radionuclide in a safe and effective manner.
- Assure proper doses and radionuclides are ordered each day.
- Examine images to ensure diagnostic quality.
- Operates equipment, accessories and is knowledgeable in workflows, procedures, and processes.
- Maintain proper documentation within RIS system(s)
- Obtains appropriate lab work and ensures correct documentation.
- Maintain desk and / or clinic supplies.
- Perform equipment quality check and adhere to quality assurance guidelines.
- Respond to physician and radiologist questions and needs regarding patients.
Scheduling 20%
a. Answer incoming phone calls and make outbound phone calls
b. Gathering information to route appropriately.
