Job Description : No nights.

No weekends.

No on-call.

No major holidays.

Overall responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Patient Care 80%

  • Performs duties for two imaging modalities. (NM and PET) (CT if certified)
  • Responsible for educating and preparing patients for examinations.
  • Provide patient care that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures.
  • Take thorough patient medical history prior to examination.
  • Position patient to obtain proper imaging.
  • Determine appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
  • Interpret imaging orders provided by the physician.
  • Measure doses so that the radionuclide is correct and matches the procedure.
  • Administer radionuclide in a safe and effective manner.
  • Assure proper doses and radionuclides are ordered each day.
  • Examine images to ensure diagnostic quality.
  • Operates equipment, accessories and is knowledgeable in workflows, procedures, and processes.
  • Maintain proper documentation within RIS system(s)
  • Obtains appropriate lab work and ensures correct documentation.
  • Maintain desk and / or clinic supplies.
  • Perform equipment quality check and adhere to quality assurance guidelines.
  • Respond to physician and radiologist questions and needs regarding patients.

Scheduling 20%

  • Meet patient needs through a variety of methods including but not limited to
  • a. Answer incoming phone calls and make outbound phone calls

    b. Gathering information to route appropriately.

  • Schedule appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars.
  • Coordinate Lab and Prep instructions for scheduled appointments.
  • Update and verify primary care and referring providers.
  • Evaluate referrals and link to appropriate upcoming appointments.
  • Verify and update patient demographics.
  • Education / Experience

  • CNMT or ARRT (N) certification
  • CT certification preferred, but not required
  • 1-2 years relevant experience
  • BLS certification
  • Essential qualities necessary include, but are not limited to :

  • Patient and pleasant personality; works well with a variety of people.

  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
  • Interfaces well with staff and physicians.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Pleasant and friendly tone of voice.
  • Work under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members.
