EDUCATION
- Graduation from a physical therapy school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) with eligibility for Pennsylvania licensure as a physical therapist. Required
- PT - Physical Therapist Current Pennsylvania PT license. Required
- APTA - Physical Therapy Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Preferred
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation from American Heart Association. Required
- Three (3) years of full-time experience in a physical therapy setting. Required
- Relevant teaching experience as a clinical instructor or in an educational setting Preferred
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the public. Required
- Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, and staff. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required
- Developed organizational skills. Required
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues. Required
- Functional ability with computers or ability to learn computer functions. Required
- Provide overall supervision of operations of the physical therapy clinic.
- Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments
- Instruct and supervise students in patient care and operation of the physical therapy clinic.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all physical therapy services.
- Schedule patients to ensure high-quality student learning experiences
- Identify referral growth opportunities
- Refer patients for follow-up services or further consultation
- Ensure patient and student safety
- Manage environmental emergencies that may occur in the clinical session.
- Abide by College policies and procedures and the Pennsylvania State Physical Therapy Practice Act
- Conduct routine physical tasks and maneuvers to position patients and equipment.
- Requires adequate coordination, balance, and agility.
