Requirements
- Must have "lived experience" recovering from a drug or alcohol addiction
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have Certified Recovery Specialist Certificate or be willing to earn certificate within 1 year of hire
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance
- Working knowledge of 12 step recovery principles
- Pennsylvania State Child Abuse Clearance
- Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check
- FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services
Description
Are you in long-term recovery and want to help others on their journey? Pennsylvania Counseling Services (PCS) is hiring a Full-Time Drug & Alcohol Recovery Specialist to provide guidance and support to individuals in treatment.
Your Role:
- Serve as a liaison between clients, therapists, and support services.
- Help clients navigate the treatment and recovery process.
- Use your lived experience to motivate and encourage individuals throughout their journey.
What We Require:
- Minimum of 2 years of personal recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction.
- Strong communication and mentorship skills.
