Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in childcare or working with children.
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Reliable transportation is required as you will attend trainings and meetings in other counties.
Description
Pennsylvania Counseling Services is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and attentive part time childcare worker to provide care and supervision for minor children while their parents attend services at our Schuylkill County Outpatient office. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to creating a safe and engaging environment.
In this position you will:
- Provide childcare to minor children of clients attending appointments with PCS at our Schuylkill County Outpatient office.
- Plan and engage children in age-appropriate activities, including crafts, games, and storytelling.
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as assigned.
- Assist in the office with administrative tasks.
A successful applicant will:
- Be organized and detail oriented.
- Able to work independently.
- Manage conflicts between children calmly and professionally, promoting positive behavior.
- Need to demonstrate flexibility.
- Be open to feedback and guidance from leadership staff.
This position is a grant funded position. If the grant would end we would offer you additional positions within PCS if applicable. EOE.
