We are currently seeking a Division Manager for our Drilling division based out of Imperial, PA (a suburb of Pittsburgh). In this role, you will Lead all aspects of a multi-million-dollar division of a Geotechnical Drilling Company via projects, people and processes. Duties include estimating/bidding public and private projects, project management, heavy equipment and transportation fleet management, managing a team 8 drilling crews, invoicing, yard and shop management and regulatory compliance, DOT, OSHA, USACE, etc.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Operations:
- Reviewing and setting of divisional strategy regarding all aspects of the business to promote growth and ensure the necessary resources are in place to achieve them.
- Hire, train and motivate competent workers. Provide a safe working environment. Monitor worker progress and productivity.
- Control costs of drilling services.
- Control scheduling of projects.
- Monitor equipment for maintenance and reliability. Recommend new purchases to company management for ongoing operations and new opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with customers exceeding their satisfaction with quality, delivery, and value.
- Anticipate future opportunities for new services to offer. Evaluate how to implement sales to new markets.
- Identify and solicit new customers. Coordinate opportunities for business with other divisions within the company.
- Initiate marketing plans including advertising, client visits, trade shows, special events etc.
- Full P&L responsibility for the division, including the day-to-day management of all aspects of the business with the existing management team.
- Preparation and monitoring of the Business Plan and Financial Targets (jointly with senior management)
- Monitor the financial results provided by accounting.
- BS/BA or equivalent in Engineering, Geology, Business or related field, recommended.
- Experience in management and/or leadership position and ability to motivate and lead staff, highly desired.
- Understanding of civil engineering or construction business, highly preferred.
- Ability to translate technical information into sales and marketing tools and use knowledge of current industry, company and marketing experience to expand the business and market awareness in areas such as: geographic areas, and specialty services, required.
- Ability to use software tools for scheduling, regulatory compliance, and general business use, required.
- Must have behavioral competencies of interpersonal savvy, business acumen, managerial courage, drive for results, problem solving, and customer focus.
This position primarily performs sedentary work, which includes sitting a majority of the time, yet occasionally needing to perform site visits of prospective job locations that require physical exertion. Work setting is in an office and workshop environment where the ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions including exposure to heat and cold both inside and outside of the building, and around loud noises, potentially hazardous conditions within workshop including exposure to chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, gases and other substances used in a construction environment. Must have the ability to see, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. Operate standard office equipment including a computer, copier, fax, phone and other similar office equipment.
