What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Operations & Outreach Specialist position at Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Democratic Caucus?
Provides guidance to support Members for district office facilities management and relationship management with constituents.
This job may be eligible for telework opportunities.- Advise Members on strategic direction, including but not limited to, outreach and constituent contact and events
- Develop customized issue-based constituent outreach plans for Members, utilizing demographic and trending analysis
- Advise, recommend, organize, and support Members and their staff regarding constituent services, constituent relationship management, security and safety, local government resources, Caucus resources, Commonwealth resources, best practices and event management
- Analyze and maintain statistical information regarding Member activity, including but not limited to, events, committee and session attendance, involvement, casework and demographics
- Identify, develop, enhance, and deliver training and training material to district office staff regarding, constituent services, security, Caucus resources, Commonwealth resources, and event management
- Address district office property issues, including location recommendations, liaison with property owners, lease negotiation and execution, furniture, and moves
- Perform work-related duties as assigned
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience that provides directly transferrable knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of this position
- Experience in outreach, customer service, training, event planning, project management or similar discipline preferred
- Individual ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to deal effectively with individuals and/or groups of people
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of strategic thinking and planning
- Effective use of available departmental technological resources to improve operations
- Ability to be able to present an idea or course of action

- Position requires statewide travel, some overnight travel may be required. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid driver's license.

Salary : $39,585 - $53,440
