Job Title: Supervisor of IT Infrastructure
Location: Harrisburg, PA (PHFA Headquarters)
Summary:
The Supervisor of IT Infrastructure will lead and manage the IT Infrastructure team within the IT Operations Department. This team is responsible for the administration, management, and implementation of the Agency’s infrastructure systems, including network devices, servers, and endpoints. As the front-line supervisor, this role will oversee the technical, operational, and personnel-related aspects of the Infrastructure team.
Job Duties:
Supervisory Oversight:
- Provide leadership and oversight to the IT Infrastructure team, including managing attendance, performance evaluations, mentoring, and professional development.
Technical Leadership & Support:
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to network devices, servers, endpoints, and other infrastructure systems.
- Work with the Incident Response Team to investigate, document, and recover from cybersecurity incidents.
Planning, Implementation, and Testing:
- Plan, recommend, test, and implement software upgrades and patches for network devices, servers, and workstations.
- Perform technical research on infrastructure components and propose upgrades, components, or replacements to improve system performance and reliability.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of infrastructure projects, installations, upgrades, and improvements.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT with progressive responsibility in infrastructure management.
- 8-10 years of progressively more complex experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
- Previous supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
Licenses/Certifications
- Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
Work Schedule
Primarily Monday-Friday during business hours with availability for occasional evening and weekend work to support system maintenance and emergencies.
