Job Purpose :
The Administrative Assistant will report to the West Chester office and work closely with the Director of Student Services and the Executive Assistant. This position entails handling general office duties such as making phone calls, filing and coordinating calendars and participating in political efforts to support Cyber Charter School legislation. Opportunity for special projects as position develops.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the Director of Student Services including : managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging travel plans, itineraries and agendas; and compiling documents for meetings.
- Plans, coordinates and ensures the Director of Student Services's schedule is followed and respected. Providesgatekeeper and gateway roles for access to the Director of Student Services's time and office.
- Communicates directly, and on behalf of the Director of Student Services, with Board Members, staff and other organization stakeholders on matters related to Director of Student Services's programmatic initiatives.
- Provides leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the organization, and manages a variety of special projects for the Director of Student Services, some of which may have organizational impact.
- Organizes and prepares needed documentation and logistics for bimonthly School Board Meetings.
- Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Student Services
- Assist with special projects in a timely and confidential manner
- Other duties as assigned

Physical / Mental / Environmental Demands :
All PA Leadership Charter School applicants and employees will need to provide Pennsylvania Clearances : Act 34, 114, and 151 upon employment, as well as every five years from the date the previous clearance was obtained.
