What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heat Treat Technician Helper position at Pennsylvania Machine Works?
Roles & Responsibilities
> Performs heat treating per specifications outlined on work order, i.e., pre-heat, post-heat stress relieve, normalize, temper or anneal
> For this position, day-to-day responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
- Operate all furnaces
- Keep accurate records and furnace charts
- Perform hardness testing to verify compliance to work order requirement
- Organize “heat treat lots” of material based on time & temperature requirements
Desired Requirements
> Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices
> Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
Competency
3.1 Minimum Requirements
> Must be able to read and understand work orders, drawings, and other written instructions
3.2 Desired Qualifications
> High School Diploma
