SUMMARY
Perform various prescribed duties to receive, transport, store, issue and maintain inventory control of forgings for manufacturing and warehouse operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Work from prescribed procedures, work orders, material transfer forms, written and verbal instructions to identify, inspect and document incoming forgings.
Move, lift, and transport forgings by work order to appropriate machine area or location.
Segregate heated treated forgings and perform hardness testing.
Load and unload trucks as needed.
Check counts manually or by ratio scales.
Maintain accurate identification of forgings by size, material, heat number and surface finish.
Arrange storage areas and holding areas for warehouse.
Ensure an adequate supply of forgings are available to meet daily work order schedules at various workstations.
Store oil dry and coolants for shop.
Refer unusual conditions to supervisor or appropriate personnel.
Operate forklift truck, manual material handling equipment, data terminal, weight scales. Use calipers, hardness tester, spectrotester, micrometers and various hand tools.
Responsible to prepare and submit / record production records, accurate piece counts, reports and forms required by company procedures.
Observe all company policies and regulations including safety, housekeeping, and quality of work with support of ISO procedures and standards.
Utilize individually and / or further the use of total quality concepts, tools, and techniques to support continuous quality improvement in all processes in which the position participates with a positive "Can Do" attitude.
Support, encourage and maintain a positive team working atmosphere throughout the company.
Perform other duties as requested or necessary to meet business conditions and changes.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE -
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or over 1 year up to and including 3 years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations and to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
