About the Role
The Patient Services Associate plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences. You will be responsible for greeting patients, handling inquiries, coordinating appointments, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Strive to create a culture of safety and service excellence by interacting with patients in a professional manner, listening carefully to their needs, and responding promptly to their requests.
- Document patient needs and preferences in EPIC, our electronic health record system.
- Establish positive relationships with patients by demonstrating knowledge of their medical history, showing compassion, and responding to their individual needs.
- Handle stressful situations appropriately and deliver exceptional patient service.
- Educate patients on their treatment options, provide emotional support, and ensure they understand their care plan.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and other team members to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma/GED and 2 years of medical office experience or 2 years of customer service experience.
- Associate Degree preferred.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new processes, technologies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
