Pennsylvania Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Centers are seeking Full-time Surgical Assistants for our busy multi-doctor, multi-location oral surgery practice. Our goal is to provide care in a comfortable caring and non-threatening environment with patient care being our #1 priority.
You will help with preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and assisting in surgical procedures. While oral surgery assisting experience is a plus we are happy to train the right candidate. To do well in this role you should have a strong attention to detail, provide a great level of patient care and be dependable.
We have a structured training program that allows you the ability to earn several certifications as you progress with our company. Company paid training is included as you learn and grow. Our assistants receive advance training including: X-ray certification testing, and a phlebotomy skills certification class. We also provide training to assistants to assist surgeons in the delivery and airway management of General Anesthesia sedation by a nationally recognized training program through the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Surgical Assistant Responsibilities:
Providing great patient care.
Preparing patients for surgical procedures.
Sterilization/restocking surgical rooms
Assisting surgeons in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
Recording treatment information in patient records.
Taking patient xrays and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the surgeon.
Maintaining dental equipment and supply inventory.
Surgical Assistant Requirements:
Dental x-ray certification – required within 6 months of employment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Dependable transportation.
Great Attention to Detail
Willingness to learn and progress along our training track
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
Able to provide great patient care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
