ABOUT THE POSITION
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking orders, order verification, using RF scanner, and safely completing duties relating to materials handling. Candidates must be available to work a schedule from Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM.
Essential Responsibilities
- Reads orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designed areas.
- Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
- Weighs and counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Prepares parcels for mailing.
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse. Practices safe work habits.
- Completes other related duties as assigned, customary to department and role.
Required Education and Experience
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, customer orders, and packing and shipping instructions.
- Able to accomplish simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Able to use a RF scanner and computer.
