What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counseling Program Tenure Track Faculty (2 Positions) position at pennwest?
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: teaching courses (online and/or face to face on California campus) in graduate level School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs; supervising practicum and internship students; advising students in the Counseling programs; participating in program development; participation in CACREP, PDE, NCATE/CAEP, and Middle States related accreditation responsibilities; conducting program assessment, outcomes, and evaluation; serving on department and university wide committees; and involving students in ongoing research. The Counselor program at PennWest is a teaching focused and student-centered learning community.The successful applicant must be capable of and committed to teaching, community service and outreach, and to scholarship. The successful applicant will also have experience working with diverse populations. Additional responsibilities include involvement with departmental, college-wide, and university committees. Also, in accordance with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and APSCUF, the successful applicant must be able to teach and participate in activities on the physical campus and might be assigned to perform work at off-campus sites, in the evening/weekend college and/or provide instruction through online education.Finally, the successful applicant will likely be expected to take on an immediate leadership role as clinical fieldwork coordinator or program assessment coordinator.
