Basic Responsibilities:· Function as liaison for PennWest University and all partnering clinical programs for the BS, Medical Imaging Sciences program. o Work with program officials to resolve all program-related issues. o Work with PennWest students attending partnering programs to resolve all student-related issues. · Work comprehensively with sophomore and higher face-to-face medical imaging sciences majors to coach them and support their academic and personal development as optimal candidates for admission to hospital programs.· Advise and supports students enrolled in online and traditional allied health programs including medical imaging science majors primarily on the PennWest Clarion Campus and online degree completion students in the BS, Medical Imaging Sciences; BS, Allied Health Leadership, and AS, Allied Health (non-nursing).· Instruct allied health courses both face-to-face and online as appointed and in accordance with the CBA.· Hold office hours for student advisement in accordance with the CBA. · Respond to internal and external inquiries about the BS, Medical Imaging Sciences; BS, Allied Health Leadership, and AS, Allied Health (non-nursing).· Function as resource person to students including sharing expertise of career opportunities in the field of medical imaging sciences.· Support initiatives and activities within the Department of Nursing and Health Professions. · Work with the department chair to resolve student and program issues including scheduling, advising, withdrawals, enrollment, and others.· Conduct informational “It’s Your Turn Now” workshop in mid-September for sophomore and higher medical imaging sciences majors who will be applying to clinical schools that year.Work with clerical support to organize and oversee the yearly medical imaging sciences breakfast in October. Function in role as host and representative of PennWest Clarion to visiting program officials, students, parents, and families.Work extensively with sophomore medical imaging sciences majors in advance of breakfast to prepare them for event so they are prepared to meet program officials and project a positive, confident, and professional, demeanor.Conduct formal interview workshop in mid-November to ready students for interviews at clinical programs upon return in the spring semester.· Support on-campus student activities as appropriate and possible to promote the major and the field of medical imaging sciences.Advising:Web, phone, and face-to-face contact with medical imaging science majors at PennWest Clarion, allied health majors (non-nursing), and online degree-seeking allied health majors. Post and hold office hours at PennWest Clarion Campus.Accommodate drop-in advisees and online advising requests during posted office hours including virtual office hours if applicable. Participate in PennWest-Clarion Campus Meet Your Advisor Week.Conduct formal advising appointments during spring and fall student registration periods.
