JOB DESCRIPTION: Finishing UV Operator
Individual operates one of three Ultra Violet Coater (UVC) Machines as a two-person team either by feeding or catching wood moldings, setting up and running the UV vacuum coater machines and assisting on other operations as trained.
As a UV Operator, your primary responsibilities include mixing/matchig various UV colors and clear coats. Machine and/or color adjustments may be needed as well as being involved in quality checks. Confirming adhesion and grain definition are integral in assuring a quality product is delivered to our customers. An understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and participiation in updates as needed are expected.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
While previous machine operator experience is preferred it is not necessary as Pennwood will provide in depth training.
This position does require that the individual not be color blind.
Work Environment & Physical Demands - The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. To successfully perform Essential Functions, the Operator must be able to:
- Lift, stand and be mobile during entire shift
- Cannot be color blind
- Reach, bend, stoop, push, and pull up to 30lbs.
- Work effectively with employees.
- Possess accurate visual focus, field of vision, color vision.
- Read, write and speak the English language.
