What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Server position at Pennyflower?
Are you an enthusiastic worker with strong organization and customer service skills? Then you could be what we are looking for in a server assistant/busser. You will work closely with our servers and help them deliver food to customers’ tables, as well as clear, clean, and reset each table with tableware to get it ready for the next party. You’ll bring customers to their tables, address their inquiries, and alert servers when their attention is needed.
You should be familiar with the menu as well as food safety rules. Attention to detail and organization are important since you’ll be regularly restocking items in the kitchen and server stations. If you have some food service experience, like working in a fast-paced setting and closely with team members, apply for this role as soon as possible!
Compensation:$12 hourly
Responsibilities:- Handle delivering food from the kitchen to the table on time. Ask if you can help with anything else before leaving the table
- Show customers to their tables, address any requests from customers, and respond to them in a timely manner
- Keep track of kitchen inventory to make sure kitchen and server stations are fully stocked with all the supplies needed
- Clean and clear tables of debris and bring dirty dishes to the kitchen to be washed. Prepare tables for the next guests
- Serve customers water, and other beverages, bring drinks to them, and make sure all condiments are refilled and placed on the table
- Prior experience working in the food service industry is preferred, but not required
- Has the ability to stand, bend, and lift for longer periods of time for the duration of the shift
- Must have a high school diploma or possess an equivalent GED
- Know the basics of how to handle food items and kitchen equipment
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays and to help out with extra shifts as needed
