A Typical Day
The Manager, Financial Engineering will :
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts supporting multiple enterprise-wide business functions.
- Collaborate across functional teams, including Data Engineering, Finance, and the Cloud Business Office, to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of robust data reporting, financial models, and KPIs.
- Analyze large, multi-dimensional datasets to uncover actionable insights and trends that inform business strategies.
- Manage the creation of predictive models for performance forecasting and risk assessment.
- Provide meaningful insights from raw data within cloud billing and usage tools.
- Monitor cloud consumption at the account level to identify and address anomalies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop financial models and tools to optimize cloud costs and drive informed decision-making.
- Create and maintain detailed monthly and quarterly cloud consumption reports, integrating unit costs for analysis.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks related to information management and provisioning.
- Drive continuous improvement in data processes, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and compliance.
- Present findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to Senior Management and stakeholders.
- Prepare clear and impactful presentations, emails, and documentation for diverse audiences.
- Lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring they align with organizational strategy and deliver measurable outcomes.
