A Typical Day
The Salesforce Developer Will
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other Salesforce technologies.
- Implement and maintain Salesforce configurations, including workflows, process builder, validation rules, and custom objects.
- Integrate Salesforce with other systems using APIs, web services, and other integration tools.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce functionality and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases and features.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the Salesforce platform.
- Participate in agile development processes.
- Provide support to end-users and assist with training.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer/programming experience (6 years)
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform features and capabilities.
- Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and SOSL.
- Experience with Salesforce configuration and customization and able to decide for one vs the other.
- Experience with Salesforce APIs and integrations.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Salesforce Developer certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II) are highly preferred.
- Experience with Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud is a plus.
- Experience with [Specific Integration Tools, e.g., AWS is a plus. Drive design decisions to conclusion with business management using quick POC’s and presentations.
- Perform peer reviews of design and code.
- Ability to participate and provide inputs that help in continuous improvements from a development process standpoint
