Pennypackers is an award winning quick service and catering operation with a history of exceptional menu offerings and customer satisfaction. We are currently looking for a Kitchen Manager to run our corporate cafeteria and catering operation.

This management position is responsible for the food and catering service at our Summer Street location. This includes all aspects of customer and food service including; product ordering, food production and staff supervision.

This role is supported through working directly with ownership providing guidance on all aspects of the operation.

Responsibilities :

  • Service work and lead service at cafeteria operation along with catering or pop-up activitymaintain prep lists and prep work on all standard menu itemsoversee and maintain quality control on food prep done by the stafftrain all other staff on service and prep workoversee quality control on presentation and delivery during service
  • Ordering and Inventory prepare all orders to meet daily food service production and catering sales for; meat, produce, dry goods, paper goods, beverages, cleaning supplies, breadreview pricing with alternate vendors to control overall costs, source based on quality and then priceensure there is appropriate stock to meet daily productionorganize and control stock with proper storage and organization to avoid wastecomplete routine inventory counts
  • Menu and Logistics Consultation with Staff weekly discussion about staffing and food preparation for the upcoming weekreview schedule and anticipated sales activityoversee daily food prep based on schedule and catering businessmaintain food prep par levels ensuring staff is directed for current needs
  • Catering and Deliveries prepare food production for catering jobs as neededarrange for delivery of catering jobs as neededprinting and assigning labels for all product going out
  • Cleaning and Organization prepare and maintaining an equipment maintenance and cleaning scheduleassign staff to specific cleaning responsibilitiesensure a clean and organized appearance at all times

Requirements :

  • Extensive cooking and food preparation experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to deal with changes in a quick service operation
  • Strong attention to detail to insure customer satisfaction and efficient operation
  • Understanding of food handling and service to ensure compliance with all regulation and authorities
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Employment and Compensation :

    This position is a full time year round position with service hours from 7 AM to 3 PM five days a week.

    Additional effort is needed to perform management functions assigned.

    Salary position with base pay of $60,000 to $65,000.
