PCHC's Community Care & Geriatrics team is looking for a Clinical Support Assistant II! In this unique role, you’ll travel outside of our typical exam room setting to meet our patients where they are, supporting our providers in the delivery of patient-centered care in skilled nursing facilities, long term care, assisted living, or even in patient homes. Schedule : Full-Time, Tuesday through Friday, 10-hour days with Saturday, Sunday and Mondays off. (NOTE : This position requires travel within the Greater Bangor area. Mileage is reimbursed per PCHC’s Business Travel and Expense Reimbursement Policy)
All externally hired medical assistants will receive a $3500 sign on / retention bonus!
This position works in a Designated Healthcare Facility which is subject to the State of Maine’s immunization requirements for healthcare workers. If hired, you will be required to show a Certificate of Immunization, or Proof of Immunity, against : 1.) Rubeola (measles); Mumps; Rubella (German measles); Varicella; Hepatitis B; and Influenza.
Highlights of the position :
- Demonstrates compassion, collaboration, communication, and appropriate clinical judgement in patient care. Provides direct support to providers in delivering stellar patient care.
- Engages in pre-visit planning activities, preparing visits for the providers using medical records, Health Info Net, and other resources.
- Assists with billing duties, including delivering patient notes to the office, scanning, and following up with providers as appropriate. Ensures the information is accurate and complete.
- May perform a variety of clinical functions within scope under the direction of the provider, including but not limited to :
