Job Summary
Penobscot Valley Senior College is a small non profit that provides education and experiences to people ages 50 . The coordinator must communicate well with this age range, be organized and pleasant and helpful. Must have computer skills including experiences with setting up Zoom class offerings, maintaining a data base of membership, creating email blasts from our website. The successful candidate will be provided a computer, a printer, and a dedicated phone. The candidate must have very good WIFI at their home as there is no office and will not be reimbursed for that WIFI service. The person will work primarily from home and can set personal hours as agreed upon by the President of PVSC.
We would be primarily be interested in a person who is a Contractor. PVSC will provide gross pay and the contractor will pay all appropriate state and federal taxes. PVSC will provide a 1099 at years end.
Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Utilize Google Suite and other software applications to manage documents and schedules effectively.
- Assist in proofreading documents to ensure clarity and correctness.
- Maintain organized filing systems for easy retrieval of information.
- Support office management tasks, including inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline administrative processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for effective communication.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly with Google Suite applications.
- Experience with clerical tasks such as data entry and document management.
- Excellent proofreading skills to ensure high-quality documentation.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently or as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
