A Mascot with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos will learn in an organization and environment that is recognized as one of the best in minor league baseball. The Mascot will provide entertainment as our mascot at home games and outside community appearances throughout the year. During the offseason and at community appearances, the mascot is an exciting and integral part of the team’s community involvement. During games, the Mascot will meet and great fans, work closely with the game operations staff for in-game entertainment and contests, and in general, pump up the crowd. The mascot is a highly visible representative of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and must possess unparalleled excitement for the Pensacola Blue Wahoos and our fans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Entertain children and adults through a high level of enthusiasm and animation
- Thrive in front of large crowds
- Interact with guest one-on-one
- Assist in maintaining costume, including cleaning between events
- Maintain professionalism
- Promote the Pensacola Blue Wahoos
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Have fun
Requirements
- Positive attitude
- High level of integrity
- Creative, energetic personality, with some performance background preferred
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and attend outside events throughout the week
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able withstand inclement weather conditions in a mascot suit
- Punctual and dependable
- Display outstanding teamwork and communication skills
This is a seasonal, part-time position. Hours and days of work will vary according to business needs to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
