Adjunct College Faculty - Computer Science
Adjunct faculty are responsible to prepare and teach courses using a Christian-traditional philosophy of education in alignment with the college doctrinal position, mission, and values; assist students in meeting course requirements and achieving course learning outcomes; and stay current with trends and advances relevant to courses being taught.
Prepare and Teach Assigned Courses
Prepare courses that align with program and institutional outcomes and include expected content that is appropriate to the level and type of course. Provide classroom, laboratory, or private lesson instruction from a Christian perspective in a manner designed to assist students in achieving course learning outcomes.
Evaluate and Advise Students
Evaluate student achievement impartially and in accordance with college guidelines. Provide regular, timely feedback that accurately measures achievement of the course learning outcomes. Be available as needed to assist students in successfully fulfilling course requirements and achieving the course learning outcomes.
Assist with Curriculum Development and Assessment
Develop course syllabi that clearly outline course requirements, scope, and sequence. Update courses annually through evaluation of student achievement, as well as input from students, academic administrators, curriculum committees, and benchmarking.
Other General Responsibilities
Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the Faculty Manual. Stay current with trends and advances relevant to courses being taught.
FLSA Status - Professional (Exempt)
Education
Accredited Master's Degree with 18 graduate credit hours in teaching field (Required), Applicants who are willing to earn a master's degree and have at least 5 years of experience in the field demonstrating extensive and diverse knowledge of the working environment will also be considered.
