Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office by managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dental office procedures.

Responsibilities

May include helping turn over treatment rooms, Sterilization of instruments, Seating patients, etc.

  • Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations to create a welcoming environment.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using medical scheduling software.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Verify insurance information and assist patients with any inquiries regarding their coverage.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and messages promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and care delivery.
  • Utilize systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for patient management and record keeping.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Dentrix software or Eagle Soft.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification processes and medical administrative support practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of office management principles and practices within a dental office context.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
