Overview
The Security Team Lead is individually accountable, motivating, and responsible to be in charge of safeguarding, protecting, and securing the dealership's assets, personnel, and guests. This person will be responsible for managing and developing the security team in addition, working closely with the Security Supervisor.
Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $23.00 and $25.00 depending on experience.
*This position is 100% on site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of communication with Security Team of approximately 12 Officers
- Maintain a high level of communication and respect with Security Supervisor via e-mail, telephone and in person
- When necessary be available on call to answer questions from Longo Team members and Longo Security team members
- When necessary cover shifts when call outs occur
- Write and send out reports as necessary to aid the Security Supervisor
- Review Security footage for Longo Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Human Resources
- Save Security footage when necessary for incidents
- Maintain high discretion with incidents involving team members and guests
- When requested, make the security team schedule
- Track Emergency Supplies and restock supplies as needed
- Train new Security staff at posts and patrolling
- Monitor the employee parking and guest parking, write written warning notices on employee vehicles as necessary
- Building and establishing relationships with employees, guests, and other security staff
- Patrolling the entire dealership to prevent and report signs of intrusion and damage
- Securing and unlocking doors, vehicles, and gates
- Answering alarms and investigating disturbances
- Monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees, vendors and guests
- Writing reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activity, safety and fire hazards, and other security related situations
- Providing any needed assistance to guests, vendors and employees
- Warning and communicating any rule infractions or violations, plus getting the necessary assistance to apprehend or evict violators from premises
- Performing other specific administrative functions as directed by management
- Maintaining high ethical standards in all actions
- Always maintains a professional appearance
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school desired.
- Minimum of one-year automotive dealership experience desired, preferably as a lead or manager.
- Knowledge mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) and their application.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable and safe driving record.

- Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces.
- Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
