Overview
Longo Toyota is looking for a Wheel Repair Technician to join our amazing Team! As a Wheel Repair Technician, you'll be responsible for all wheel repairs across the dealership, including internal and guest repairs from Longo Lexus and Longo Toyota. Wheel repair consists of grinding, sanding and refinishing all types of wheel surfaces. Colorsanding, buffing and polishing is also included in this, as well as touch up paint applied to wheels
The Wheel Repair Technician has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Rate of $19.50.
This position is 100% on site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for assembling all interior items and assembling seating units for vehicle installation
- Accurately and efficiently install upholstery, leather, seat heaters, and seat coolers, and plug back any wire harness or electrical components of the vehicle per manufacturer specifications
- Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in and a meticulous work ethic in vehicle interiors, including the repair, modification, and refurbishment of vehicle seats, divans, sidewalls, flooring, overhead panels, and trim, including upholstery and re-upholstery of panels, liners, and sidewalls, to high degrees of finish quality and structural safety
- Consistently operate Hog ring gun, Steam gun, Vacuum suction stand, Tacker or bar tack machinery with precision and accuracy
- Knowledge of and ability to use all manner of power tools or hand tools required for removal and installation of vehicle interiors and seats
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivelent
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Fully proficient in mathematical principles and application (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying and percentages)
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles; determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Good attention to detail, and ability to read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language.
- Must have a valid California driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

- Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and small and/or enclosed spaces.
- Adjusting, moving, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
