What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant District Manager position at Penske Truck Leasing and Logistics?
Position Summary:
A Penske Assistant District Manager will partner with the District manager to lead and facilitate long-term strategic planning by coordinating synergy across district staff, building and enhancing relationships both with customers, associates and vendors, prioritizing district initiatives and coaching and mentoring associates to drive business results.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the ongoing operations and multifaceted activities of all branches in the district.
- Actively support the teams in the lease sales, rental, administration and maintenance operations.
- Maintain and exceed present level of customer and associate satisfaction in the company’s product line and service.
- Focus on business development with an emphasis on fleet planning.
- Associate Development including planning, monitoring, and execution
- Oversee full employment initiative for district
- Performance management including monitoring documentation for all associates
- Long term strategic planning of growth opportunities
- Coordinate synergies across district
- Build and enhance customer relationships
- Prioritize district improvement initiatives
- Asset Management
- Other projects as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of successful multi-unit management and revenue success required
- 3 years of supervisory experience required
- 5 years of prior Penske sales and customer service experience highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
- Dealing with people skills, initiative/drive skills, multi-task skills, problem solving skills required
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
