This position is located at the Penske facility located at 10 Shoham Road in East Windsor, CT.
Major Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of the Field Sales Manager, proactively identify, pursue, and maintain a pipeline of potential customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, networking, and attending trade shows and conferences.
- Create proposals for products, availability, and product uses that meet specific customer needs.
- Deliver prepared sales talks that describe products or services, in order to persuade potential customers to partner with Penske for their transportation needs.
- Learn how to build relationships with Penske customers and prospects by acting as a transportation consultant.
- Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support. Maintain records of contacts, accounts, and orders.
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Other projects as assigned by supervisor.
