Job Responsibilities :
Picking / packing parts in a manner to ensure accuracy and prevent damage – at times process may deviateResponsible for completing counts, random audits, and reconciliationsInspecting in bound parts for quantity and quality issuesPhysically and systematically placing inbound freight – at times process may deviateResolve inventory problems in a timely mannerResearch and reconcile product discrepancies / variances of over / under amounts and damaged productConduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventoryEscalates issues timely and directly to supervisorHave the ability to operate the following pieces of equipmentReach Truck OperatorPallet Jack (electrical or manual)Cherry PickerAccurately match numbers & lettersFollow all safety requirementsStage and sort products for loadingOpens and closes dock doorsMaintain a clean and safe work areaSorts and places parts in racks or other designated areasStacks cardboard boxes and palletsMove materials within the warehouseScanning & counting partsCompletes all other duties as assigned by SupervisorPhysical Demands
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and arms to reach, work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environmentRegularly lift and / or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 60 poundsQualifications :
2 years of general office experience requiredAbility to pay attention to detailStrong counting skills1 year of customer service experience requiredNo prior general warehouse experience required, but strongly preferred.High school diploma or equivalent preferredProficient reading and counting skills and ability to follow directions as requiredAbility to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills requiredFlexible to work overtime preferredAdvanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint requiredAble to enter orders in scanners and PC software.Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobWork the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
