Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team! We are seeking detail-oriented and organized individuals to join our warehouse inventory team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of our inventory records through regular counts, audits. You may also be responsible for inspecting damaged products, repackaging items, and preparing products to be donated or tossed. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Job Responsibilities :
Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items according to established schedules and proceduresRead work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material and equipment needsUse handheld scanners to scan products using a warehouse management systemUse inventory management software or WMS to accurately record inventory levels and locationsWeigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standardsInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between inventory counts and system recordsCollaborate with warehouse supervisors and inventory control team to identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.Perform inventory reconciliation tasks to ensure quality control and the data integrityMaintain accurate inventory records and complete daily logsUpdate system databases with cycle count resultsAdhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing inventory counting tasks.Communicate with associates from other shifts-including (Whirlpool) contactsOperate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)Pack containers and re-pack damaged containersMaintain a clean and safe work areaAccurately match numbers & lettersOther projects and tasks as assigned by supervisorQualifications :
No prior warehouse experience required but preferred.High school diploma or equivalent preferredProficient reading skills and ability to follow directions requiredAbility to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills requiredFlexible to work overtime preferredAbility to work in non-climate-controlled conditions requiredRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobAbility to work independently, customer service, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility, and time management skills requiredWillingness to work on the required schedule, work at the specific location requiredComplete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
