Job Description & Position Responsibilities:
Penta Research is seeking candidates to join our company supporting our prime customer on an MDA contract. The candidate will work full time on-site in Huntsville Alabama supporting the prime customer directly at their facilities as a Systems/Hardware Administrator.
The candidate will:
- Work closely with the software development team to tackle integration and troubleshooting issues on complex systems.
- Interface directly with the MDA customer regarding hardware and software design.
- Interface directly with program leadership and engineering team to solve complex problems.
- Develop and write procedures and presentations for deliverable products as well as internal use.
- Be responsible for hardware and software integration in program labs as well as MDA labs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or equivalent prior experience
- Understanding and experience with Red Hat Linux operating Systems
- Understanding and experience with Windows operating Systems
- Understanding and experience with server and rack type hardware
- Experience with standard cyber security tools (StigViewer, SCAP, SCC etc…)
- Proficient with standard office computer software (Microsoft® Office®)
- Knowledge of standard software development tools (GitLab, Git, etc...)
- 3 years of experience
- Security CE certified or ability to obtain
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
- 7 years relevant experience
- Experience working on the GMD Program
- Previous systems engineering and integration experience
- Tactical hardware and CIL and HWIL testbed experience
- Embedded Hardware or Software experience
Travel Requirement:
- Position location: Huntsville, AL. 10% estimated travel for this position
