What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Global Procurement, Direct Materials position at Penta Search Group?
Our client are a global manufacturer of performance materials serving several technical markets. We are currently hiring for an experienced Procurement Director to lead a critical raw material spend and lead a team of category managers and subject matter experts.
Reporting to the Global Head of Direct Materials, key responsibilities include :
- Lead a team of 6 direct reports tasked with managing a large portfolio of suppliers
- Develop sourcing strategies to enable a high performing global supply base across categories such as Fabrication, Mechanical & Electrical, PCBAs, Pipes, Valves etc.
- Establish comprehensive business and market intelligence data, including strategic opportunities and value-added solutions related to partner, supplier, or contract manufacturing arrangements.
- Lead global organization to understand critical business needs and lead the implementation of appropriate supplier engagement activities to deliver commercial success, including identification and onboarding of new suppliers.
