Job Summary
As an Inventory Control Technician at Pentagon, you will record and maintain inventory records via FileMaker & Axapta, review incoming packing slips, verify quantities and quality of incoming materials, identify discrepancies, and support our Buyers with material planning and administrative tasks.
You will also oversee all material transaction functionalities (Loading and Unloading) and provide material handling (Internal Delivery) services to all internal workstations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all inventory transactions
- Ensures materials comply with Pentagon specifications, as part of incoming QC verification
- Checks designated receiving areas for incoming material deliveries, and match shipment with proper paperwork
- Receives and issues materials / parts, services staff at the stockroom, and delivers to all internal workstations, based upon department material request forms.
- Reports all damages immediately to aligned support Buyer, as per internal RMA process
- Process returned parts (RMA) and ensure items are properly labeled, stowed on nonconforming shelf, and returned to vendor per PO instructions if materials are deemed unacceptable
- Maintains shelf and / or bin allocation for routine materials, and assist allocation of NPI (New Product Introduction) products
- Monitor inventory for slow moving, excessive build up, parts without designated shelf locations to your aligned support Buyer (Min / Max review)
- Maintains accurate filing systems for required incoming documents. (Packing Slips, Certificates of Conformance and Certificate of Analysis)
- Performs cycle counts and physical inventory validation periodically, and / or upon requested from supply chain group
- Reports all inventory variance by IPN (Internal Part Number) and update records to reflect accurate counts
- Enforces inventory management policies, and reports all deviations to supply chain group
- Generate PO's for subcontractor (OSV) services, and tracks delivery schedule per internal open order report
- Runs open order report weekly (Monday), and / or as needed. Reports all late deliveries to aligned support Buyer
- Maintain safe work environment. Ability to perform under pressure, and the ability to handle and / or resolve conflict in a professional manner
- Must comply with company Safety Procedures, Company Policies, and all critical control points as they apply to this position
- Operates forklift for both inventory needs as well as shipping.
- Crating small to large items safely for shipment
- Generation of packing labels and shippers using the company MIS system.
- Scheduling pick-ups with shipping vendors, maintaining package-tracking information.
