Summary :

As a Receiving Technician, the main responsiblity is ensuring the accountability of orders sent to the facility from customers. Reading and understanding purchase orders or packing slip information is important. Primary focus is making sure that the customer information is matched with order received, plus input information into Pentagon Technology's MIS system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Includes but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned :

• Employee is responsible for making sure supplied parts within the purchase order / packing slip are received
• Must be able to work with outside delivery vendors, understand basic shipping documentation, and work well with other members of the Logistics team in receiving and identifying packages and parts received from customers
• Employee is responsible for inventorying the parts sent from the customer. Must have good attention to detail
• Understand and follow operating procedures as assigned to the team to ensure consistent, reliable, and timely processing of parts within this team
• Good basic computer skills required to work with MIS systems and peripheral hardware such as scanners, printers, and the like
• Ability to perform under pressure, and the ability to bring to management in a clear, concise, and professional manner all potential conflicts in the performance of their duties

Safety :

Employee will be trained in, and is to follow and lead by example, all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies as well as specific safety regulatory requirements

Work Environment :

Must be able to function well in an office environment. Must also be able to work in a controlled chemical and wastewater environment. Must also be able to perform in a laboratory environment. Persons who are sensitive to chemical environments with such medical conditions as asthma, allergies, or extreme sensitivity to chemicals may not be considered as good candidates for this position. Must be able to travel to the Pentagon Technologies Facilities in the continental US as required. Must be able to travel to Vendor and Customer facilities within the continental US as required.

Physical Demands :

Must pass Company required screening tests. The employee is regularly required to sit and stand, reach with hands and arms and perform light routine office work, which includes computer workstation usage. Should be able to pick-up 50 lbs on occasional or regular basis. Will on a regular basis push or pull heavy loads (up to 750 lbs.) with basic material handling equipment.
