We have an opportunity for a Lean Facilitator to join our manufacturing team in Dover, NH. This site specializes in manufacturing water filtration cartridges used in a wide variety of residential and commercial water treatment applications. You will oversee the implementation of Lean business system projects and the development of key systematic measurements. In this critical position, you will directly impact our ability to create products that help the world sustainably move, improve, and enjoy water!
** You will work on-site in Dover, NH 5 days/week for this position. **
You will:
- Align with the Value Stream Manager and the Enterprise team to ensure consistency of approach and adoption.
- Organize, plan, and deliver effective team training based on the Lean principles, methodologies, and concepts throughout the whole organization using the Standard Pentair training collateral.
- Create value stream maps; current, future, and ideal states to assess operational current condition, inclusive of the identification of the eight types of waste as well as targeting future state delivery and sustainment year over year.
- Define measurable SQDCCP goals and objectives for Lean activities with associated execution deliverables.
- ROI - Deliver year-over-year cost savings as a percentage of sales.
- Build and facilitate multidisciplinary short and long-term Lean activities.
- Implement and follow up Lean improvements, including the sustainment of results.
- Identify and evaluate equipment automation requirements to support Lean implementations.
- Communicate plans, actions, and results to the company (PDCA).
- Execute company strategy (Hoshin Kanri) associated with implementation of lean systems, in a fast-paced environment.
- Promote and ensure Lean practices throughout company and external suppliers.
- Participate directly and indirectly in all Kaizen events.
- Participate in benchmark Enterprise-wide Lean events with sister and external companies.
Key Qualifications:
- Have earned a bachelor's (B.S) in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent preferred.
- Have 3 years of experience in implementing LEAN Manufacturing principles. Experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience working with the TPS / DBS principles preferred.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) within all organization levels
- Working knowledge of the Lean tools; Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Creating Continuous Flow, Root-Cause Problem Solving.
- Good analytical skills: 6 Sigma Green Belt level would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated competency in effective change management skills, such as influencing, communication, and stakeholder management.
Travel:
- Ability to travel occasionally to other Pentair businesses and Lean exchange events.
Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $71000 - $131800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as annual incentive bonus.
