Machine Operator – Washer/Balancer, 2nd shift temp to hire

We have an opportunity for a temporary Machine Operator – Washer/Balancer to join the Delavan, WI team. You will perform operations to wash castings and transport materials to appropriate staging areas or work centers, in addition to running the Hines Impeller Balancer.

You will:

• Operate machinery such as hand/air/power tools, forklift, casting washer, sand blaster, balancer, belt sanders, hand grinders, gib crane and lifting apparatus
• Load and unload casting washer.
• Remove chips from castings using compressed air.
• Transport various materials to appropriate locations.
• Dynamically balance impellers on the Hines Balancers.
• Generate necessary documentation such as work orders and receipts.
• Perform in-process quality checks and correct non-conformances.

Key Qualifications:

• Employee is required to work from verbal instructions, written work instructions and quality plans with minimal supervision.
• Follow company safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Employee must be able to work in a team environment.
• Maintain card system and determination of KanBan quantities.
• New employee training.

Shift/Hours:

• 2nd Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm Monday – Friday
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• This is a temporary position with the potential to go permanent

Compensation:

The hourly pay for this role is: $17.00 (with an 8% shift differential - $18.36/hr. total). Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
