As an IT Help Desk Technician, you'll be the first line of support for our employees, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting issues. You'll be the go-to person for all things tech, from password resets to software installations, and you'll play a critical role in keeping our company running smoothly. You'll be empowered to take ownership of your projects and see them through from start to finish.
Pentara provides clinical data analysis services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, specifically those focused on Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative disease research.
What You'll Do Day-to-Day:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via messaging, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Log and track support requests in our ticketing system.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff and follow-up to ensure issues are resolved.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of supported computers, accessories, and software.
- Track equipment inventory.
- Update IT knowledge base from issues solved, including creating user guides, linking useful web articles, etc.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices in IT.
What We're Looking For:
- 1 years relevant experience, including 1-2 years of experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office (365), and Google Workspace.
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware.
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software.
- Proven ability to approach challenges with a proactive, can-do mindset, finding creative solutions even under pressure.
- Ability to life, move, and carry typical IT hardware up to 30 pounds.
Some Important Details:
- This is an in-office, 30 hour per week position, with your work day starting at 7:00am.
- Pentara job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
