The Senior Revenue Analyst will serve as a key liaison between the Accounting and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) teams, ensuring accurate and timely revenue analysis, visibility into expected revenue and collections, potential write-offs, and dynamic accounts receivable reserve setting. This role will work closely with the Senior Director of Reimbursement and Manager of RCM Integrity to improve processes, enhance data sharing between RCM and Accounting, and drive more informed decision-making regarding revenue recognition and related allowances.

Essential Job Duties
- Data sharing and policy development:
- Serve as a liaison between Accounting and RCM, facilitating regular data sharing on expected collection rates, changes in expected collection rates, actual cash collections, accounts receivable, denials, and write-offs.
- Help develop policies and procedures governing changes to expected revenue rates, including documentation of review and approval processes.
- Real-time revenue and collection analysis and adjustments:
- Collect and analyze billing and collections data from Pentec’s EMR system, CPR .
- Track actual versus expected collections, identifying variances to both expected and prior periods in a timely manner; investigate variances and propose corrective actions or process improvements with the assistance of RCM and Accounting.
- Proposed changes in expected revenue levels and proposed write-offs and advise Accounting team on recommendations.
- Support FP&A and RCM in developing and maintaining cash waterfall models to enable estimation of future cash collections.
- Conduct trend analyses of denials, write-offs, and other revenue and bad debt adjustments.
- Participate in Monthly close meetings.
- Allowance and reserve management:
- Participate in the preparation and roll-forward of allowance and reserve accounts, ensuring timely and accurate adjustments to the reserve based on current collection performance, changes in expected revenue rates, changes in payor mix, and changes in expected future collections.
- Assist with other quarterly reserve analyses.
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial/ System close processes and the annual audit, particularly in areas relating to revenue recognition and allowance.
- ??Identify opportunities and implement changes for continuous process improvement.?
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, and finance departments to align on revenue goals and strategies.
- Assist in developing revenue-based KPIs for various departments and track progress.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue analysis and best practices.
- Financial Modelling and Budgeting:
- Assist in creating long-term revenue budgets and financial models.
- Collaborate with finance and senior management in setting strategic revenue targets.
- Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related degree.
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience, with exposure to revenue recognition, allowance calculations, and financial analysis within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, including ASC 606.
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools; experience with healthcare ERP systems and revenue cycle management software is required; experience with CPR and/or CareTend is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
